As some of you may know, a bit ago Penny Arcade posted a webcomic that used getting raped by monsters as the part of the joke. Of course, people who like to overreact then proceeded to overreact.

Heres the thing. Comedians say what they think is funny. They say whatever they want, as long as they think its funny. If you don’t think its funny, then too bad. I guarantee I have heard far worse rape jokes in movies, by stand up comedians, or even from dirty hobos. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’ve done a comic about hobo rape. Or maybe it was just hobo prostitution.

The point is- you dont see South Park censoring themselves. You don’t see raunchy “teen” comedies censoring themselves. So why should a comic writer feel that he ever has to.

SO they should probably just find something else to get all huffy about.
