|Fox Eats Beaver|

Fornication is the name of the game for David Duchovny, apparently both on and off the set. His Showtime show, the acutely punned Californication-it’s amazing what a removed ‘a’ can do, is a ridiculous romp through the downward spiral that is Hank Moody’s life. The show seems like it is born from a drunken, ADD riddled teenage boy’s fantasy. Hank is always getting drunk or stoned, and having unbelievable sex and whenever things get a bit too real and the drama begins to take center stage, a new set of tits take the spotlight. Duchovny’s character is pure gold hilarity. He plays what I think the real Fox Mulder from the X Files would be like. The Mulder that is just below the surface who could never show his face on Fox television. A big part of the show’s success with me is the juxtaposition of these two characters, and how similar I feel they really are. It gets even better when just this week it was announced that David Duchovny checked into rehab for sex addiction. It’s like he’s a third character portrayed by this actor that is just a blurred blend of the others. Fox Mulder, Hank Moody and David Duchovny are all fictions; the man behind them is unknown. Poor Tea Leoni; you’re just not woman enough for the dirty Duchovny, whoever he is.

Take a stand!
