Dear Ken,
This new way of things just isn’t working out. What’s more, I fear that we have passed a point of no return and couldn’t possibly go back to anything resembling the way things were. What we have is very meaningful, but I no longer think it is worth the sacrifices I have made for it. My job, my friends, and even my family can no longer look me in the eyes. We experimented with what we thought would be a better lifestyle, but I think it was just the novelty of it that attracted us; it was lust and not love. I think deep down you will see our situation as I do, and accept that it is over and time to move. I just hope the scars can heal with time and that we can still call each other friend. I wouldn’t want to lose you over this. It’s time we stop this foolishness with Pepsi, and go back to Coca-Cola, if only it will have us.
Love,
Ray
