So for awhile now I have wanted to (break down and) buy the Metal Gear Solid 4 80 Gig PS3 bundle. But how should it be done? Try and buy it at Best Buy and use my Rewards Zone card? Pre-order it at EB but have to buy the stupid 60 dollar mic? Wait in line at Midnight trying to pick up a box at Wal-Mart so I can get the sweet $100 discount card?

I could have done these, but I did not. Instead I decided to try my luck clicking through to buy a bundle this morning on Amazon.com. And I did everything wrong.

I didn’t sign in ahead of time, I did not turn on one-click shopping, and then after I had somehow managed to claim one I fucked around with the shipment options, each time I did giving up my PS3 to someone else in line behind me(or so people say, don’t know if that’s true).

But somehow even through all those blunders I did get one. And yes, they are actually scarce, I checked the forums on the page, and A LOT of people did not get one, a lot of people who made the same exact mistakes as me. Guess I just got the luck of the drunk Irish.

And then just minutes after I completed my order, Amazon went down. I was all “Oh wow oh wow did it work? Do I has PS3?” etc.

I still have not gotten a confirmation email, but I talked to someone in customer service and they told me it is all good. So I guess I’m good!

So go me! And also, sorry everyone else if you tried but didn’t luck out like the kid here.
