We saw the new Indiana Jones flick last night. It was very entertaining. It lacked some of the emotional emphasis and righteousness of earlier entries, but substituted with ridiculous fun. There was a distinct lack of Nazis, but the Russians filled the generic enemy role well enough. The leading villian was okay, but was sort of flat. Shia “Even Stevens” LeBeau (sp) was excellent in his roll and if it happened that the series picks up with him, I would stick around for some more Jones action. Harrison Ford also did well. He had less direct charisma, but his age added a flavor all its own. The overall plot was a bit weak, and I think had a thin ending, but the journey was fun. Overall I think it us a worthy entry, certainly a better last minute sequel than the episodes I-III were prequels.
