The evolution of specialty attacks in Final Fantasy:
Desperation>Limit Break>Trance>Overdrive>Quickening
Just in case you wanted to know.

Gears of War developers recently stated that they intend to control achievement unlocking progress in the next installment of the title. Another set of achievements requiring you to perform a task so many times while in multiplayer matches will feature again, but with a slight change that is thought to encourage players to play the game it was meant to be played, as opposed to playing the game to obtain achievements. You will need an x number of headshots for example, but unlike the original game, and most other games, they are planning to limit a player to only one tally per match. So even if you pull off 10 headshots in a match, it will only count as one towards the achievement. This way, achievement hunters won’t ruin the dynamic of the game by simply trying to chainsaw over and over again in a match without really attempting to win, or snag the map’s sniper rifle over and over just to pop heads off, when switching to the shotgun at close range would be a much better option. I see a few problems with this. Unlocks could take a great deal of time this way, which could piss some people off, but this could be taken care of by lowering the required number of headshots. Also, assuming that you can choose matches with a varying number of rounds like you could previously, players who play longer matches could be screwed, and I foresee achievement hunters overpopulating single round games, which would breed boosting rooms. All in all though, I think this is a pretty good idea. People say they should play the way they want to play, and if that means playing for achievements, so be it- they pay to play the way they want. I don’t buy that. If their style detracts from the overall dynamic of the game, and ruins my fun, ruins me playing the way I want to play, by rendering matches nothing more than idiots running around with a single, offset goal, then that’s just hypocritical.
