I am not a fan of sandbox games, as I may have mentioned before. But I got on the hype train and rode it all the way to Liberty City. So here are some things that I like and dislike about Rockstar’s latest opus, GTA4. (after playing it about 4 hours only mind you)

Pretty Neat:
1. The graphics are really impressive for this type of game. The best “City” graphics I have seen in a game.
2. The driving A.I. is surprisingly good.
3. The voice acting is well done.
4. The city feels alive.
5. Character models finally look a little distinct.
6. Well designed phone interface.
7. Motorcycles are freaking awesome to drive around on, vrrrrrrrrrrrrm!

Pretty Suck:
1. Turning seems poorly done. Like you have to either slow down all the way, or you’re going to end up slamming into a building.
2. The Russian accents are bad (apparently).
3. Odd glitches already? I’ve had self-ending missions, and super-speed cutscenes.
4. No nipples on the strippers? We get pasties? But we got nipples in God of War??? What the balls????
5. The missions are all taxi missions. Drop this guy off, pick this guy up. And then “chase that guy” which is about impossible for me since I cant FUCKING TURN. I feel like it’s 8th grade, and I have to fucking roller skate again.

There we go, those are my initial observations. I hope things will get more exciting as I go, and the turning will either get better with better classes of cars? or I will just get better at it.

Also I demand nipples.
