I know it’s a little rough around the edges and just an overall silly concept, but the following is a concept for a film that I thought up after thinking about a buddy of mine an his lady friend.

A man and a woman work in the same business. They both love their jobs, but they also fall in love with each other. Time passes. The man is promoted into a position directly superior to hers. They still love each other, but love their jobs just as mush as ever, which is why it so hard when he is required to do things that are needed to be done in his position, that may anger his subordinate girlfriend.

To solve the problem, the couple treats him as two separate entities; there is him the boss who does what needs to be done despite the unhappiness of his employees, and him the boyfriend that cares for nothing more than her happiness. The man has a name like William, or some other such name that can be shortened to something like Bill which is not a direct relation, that way it is easier to discern the two entities.

Hilarity ensues when they are making love in bed, and the man realizes he needs her to make a special report for work tomorrow, so he runs to the bathroom and calls her from the next room on his cell phone as the boss, William, then returns to bed as Bill to comfort her and bitch at the work situation and continue making sweet love. When they are both at home over dinner, he will ask her how work was, despite the fact that he was in the same office as her all day.

They both totally play it out, to the extent that they actually believe in it. It’s psychotic, but it works for them. Until she begins to fall in love with the boss, and eventually cheats on her boyfriend. Oh, the awkward hilarity. And then some kind of happy end rolls itself out and the ladies are all happy and horny and go home with their disappointed boyfriends and give them pity lays for being so good and taking them to see a chick flick, but it will be like Knocked Up, a chick flick that is fun for everyone.

Okay, Hollywood, your move. Who wants to buy this? I remind you that all scripts, artwork, theories, and inventions shown here are ©The Ninja Ken.
