Army of Two

Wasn’t it pretty ballsy of George Lucas to release the original Star Wars as Episode IV? “Hey everybody, just so you know, we will be starting in the middle of the story.” Like he knew down the road he would have the opportunity to get around to the first three. Why put any kind of a numeral on the first film when you have no idea if it will even succeed, let alone do well enough to merit a sequel, and in this case, some prequels as well. I don’t care if your grand story has however many parts in your Cheetos smeared spiral notebook, when you release part of it as a film, you give it a standard title. You hear me George?

He released it as just Star Wars at first, then re-released it as Episode IV when it became so popular and he knew he could make all 6 movies one day.
